Sustainability – Green Baloney
This is our first post and we’re wondering what are the hot buttons you’re interested in. We want to talk about sustainable building maintenance practices and separate the baloney from what really works. I’ve found that for a green solution to “work” it has to first be cost effective. I know that’s usually the last leg of the triple bottom line, but in business dollars and cents are the first language and no one likes red ink. After that the product has to work. It can be green and sustainably manufactured, but if it doesn’t work its useless. Check out some of our sustainable practices we use in our business at http://totalfacilitycare.com/sustainability . So I’m wondering what’s the biggest piece of “green baloney” pitched to you for your business that you’re suspicious of or you found out after the fact you had been green washed?
